| A CSCE serves as evidence of credit for a written exam at a subsequent exam session and is valid for 365 days from the date of issue. (See Part 97.505(a)(6) CSCEs are issued when an applicant passes a required written element for a higher class operator license.
A copy of the credit certificate must be stapled to the back of the applicant Form 605 when written credit from a previous exam is claimed. (Do not send the original CSCE to W5YI-VEC.) Applicants should retain the original copy of their CSCE as permanent proof of exam completion.
A CSCE also grants operating authority. (See Part 97.303(e)
This same CSCE, however, only carries examination credit for 365 days. |
