The Contact VE Team Leader ( CVE ) MUST keep a paper copy or electronic image of all test results forwarded to W5YI-VEC office until that original documentation is received by the the coordinating VEC.
It is an FCC requirement (See Section 97.519(b)(3) that session records be maintained by the VEC for at least fifteen months. And to comply with that mandate, the W5YI-VEC requires the CVE Team Leader to maintain copies until the original is received in our office for processing. If copies are not retained and should the session documents be lost in the mail, all applicants MUST be re-tested. So at minimum CVEs are required to retain all session records for at least 30 days or until they have confirmed the session has been received and processed.
As CVE, you must be prepared to answer any questions that might arise concerning the session and produce supporting documentation. You MUST retain a copy of the 605 application, and the test answer sheets and the completed CSCE. Retention of session records is highly important to prevent applicants from having to be re-tested should session records be lost in transit to our office.
